The Partner - Acquisitions will lead the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of new investment opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep market knowledge, strong financial acumen, and a network of industry relationships. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple deals simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities aligned with the firm's investment criteria.
- Lead financial modeling, market analysis, and due diligence processes.
- Develop and maintain broker, owner, and industry relationships to source off-market deals.
- Prepare investment memoranda and present opportunities to the executive team.
- Negotiate purchase agreements and coordinate closing processes.
- Collaborate with asset management and legal teams to ensure smooth transitions post-acquisition.
- Monitor market trends and provide strategic insights to guide investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, preferably in multifamily, self-storage, or commercial assets.
- Proven track record of closing complex transactions.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with Virginia and Southeast U.S. markets is a plus.
