This is your chance to join our team - help us to design the infrastructure and buildings that improve the world.WRA is seeking a highly experienced Part-Time Water/Wastewater Technical Specialist to lead and support water and wastewater utility projects in our Richmond, VA office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with 25+ years of utility management and utility services experience to contribute their technical and managerial expertise on a flexible, part-time basis.Responsibilities:

• Serve as project advisor for water and wastewater infrastructure projects for public utility clients.
• Provide technical leadership, quality oversight, and strategic guidance on project planning, permitting, and implementation.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, water supply contracts, master plans and planning documents with regards to water and wastewater systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or similar degree (Master's degree a plus).
• Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in the water and wastewater utility sector, including management and utility operations.
• In-depth knowledge of municipal utility systems, permitting processes, and design standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Experience working with public agencies and municipalities in Virginia is highly desirable.
