The Position:Skyline College seeks a part-time faculty member as coordinator for the Umoja-ASTEP (African-American Success through Excellence and Persistence) learning community. This position is a 'pool' position meaning that openings may or may not be currently available. The District maintains a 'pool' of applications for positions which are needed on an ongoing basis at Canada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College.

Minimum Qualifications:Possession of any Master's degree or above from an accredited institution OR the equivalent. A minimum of at least two years of instructional experience and may be either a full-time or adjunct faculty member at a 2-year or 4-year institution of higher learning. Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff as these factors relate to the need for equity minded-practice both within and outside of the classroom.
