Salary : $17.50 - $20.00 Annually Location : Detention Center, IL Job Type: Part-Time Job Number: 202400127 Department: Detention Home Opening Date: 08/07/2025 Closing Date: 12/31/2025 11:59 PM Central Description PART-TIME SECRETARY (PAYROLL) 1.Record weekly hours worked of all employees for payroll. 2.Prepare and submit Pay Run to Payroll Department two/three times monthly. 3.Do monthly outer county billings and Department of Corrections billings. 4.Prepare monthly alphabetical National School Breakfast and Lunch Program Report of all admissions and discharges. 5.Type weekly report showing accumulation of each employee's Holidays, and Comp Time for distribution to Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. 6.Collect data and prepare monthly JMIS Report, Detention Center Statistical Report, and Department of Corrections Population Report for approval by Assistant Superintendent. 7.Type psychological evaluations. 8.Audit files of new admissions for completeness and accuracy of paperwork, and report errors found to the Assistant Superintendent. 9.Help maintain Food Inventory Logs. QUALIFICATIONS: Be twenty-one year of age or upwards. Obtain a high school diploma or GED certificate. Be knowledgeable in typing and computer use. Be a resident of St. Clair County within six months of hire and a U.S. citizen. Possess a valid driver's license. Be of good character and balanced personality with the ability to work with others. No prior felony convictions and suspended imposition sentence.
