Part Time Research Specialist, Temporary - Chapman University : Job Details

Assist with training undergraduate and graduate students in the lab. Perform research studying microbiology. Plan, perform, direct and analyze scientific experiments. Present the labs findings at meetings. Write up our findings for publication in the scientific literature. Prepare progress reports for funding agencies. Maintain current knowledge of appropriate related scientific literature. Required Qualifications Advanced degree and research experience in food science and microbiology. Working knowledge of operation and maintenance of standard equipment for studying microbiology. Ability to evaluate resource needs and appropriately request/order additional resources as needed. Ability to innovatively meet required needs with available resource. Ability to interpret and apply departmental laboratory policies, regulations, and procedures.
