Part Time Reference Librarian - Rhode Island College : Job Details

The individual will be responsible for reference and research assistance to the Rhode Island College campus community and patrons who may use the Library and promote effective use of library resources by students and faculty. Essential Duties Provide reference and research services to Rhode Island College students, faculty, and staff, as well as to community users, which includes but is not limited to instructing users how to search the librarys catalog, print resources, electronic databases, and other available information sources. Provide general reference service and research support in person, by phone, by email and by chat to patrons. Perform basic referral to other campus resources as needed. Serve as supervisor and backup to Reference Student Assistants whose shifts overlap with this part time librarian.
