Part-Time Recreation Maintenance - City of El Dorado Kansas : Job Details

Part-Time Recreation Maintenance Position Summary: Responsible for assisting the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and programs of the Recreation Department. Essential Functions:

• Observe safety procedures; correct minor safety problems; conduct activities in a safe manner
• Provide litter control for grounds, which includes emptying 35-gallon trashcans
• Operate a variety of trucks and vehicles in the performance of work
• Operate mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and other equipment in a safe manner
• Perform general maintenance and repair to facilities as required
• Maintain inventory control on all equipment
• Participate in snow and debris removal following inclement weather
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Move materials and other related items for community events
• Maintain restroom facilities; ensure that they are stocked with necessary products and are safe, sanitary and free from graffiti and debris
• Assist with mowing and landscaping functions at public facilities as directed

Pay Rate:

• Minimum pay starts at $10 per hour and varies based on position and experience.

Age Requirements:

• Maintenance Positions: Must be at least 18 years old by August 1, 2025.
