Part Time QA Analyst - Triumph : Job Details

Job Title: QA Analyst (Contract) \nLocation: Richmond, VA (On-site at Client headquarters) \nType: 8-Month Temporary Assignment \nWork Hours: Day Shift, Under 29 Hours Per Week, Monday through Friday (Client is flexible on what days to come in to work) \n\n \nPosition Summary: \n\n Client is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join their team for an 8-month temporary assignment. The QA Analyst will be responsible for planning, preparing, organizing, conducting, and documenting the results of software testing across multiple projects and functional areas. The ideal candidate will maintain an accurate record of test activities, test results, and software deficiencies, ensuring full compliance with established QA procedures, best practices, and industry standards. \n\n \nJob Responsibilities: \n\n

• \n\t Work with project team members to ensure business requirements and requirements documents are testable. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Execute User Stories to test all aspects of the system. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Conduct regression testing and specific item testing of impacted systems. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Document test results in Client's JIRA database. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Research defects discovered during script execution and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Prepare and submit Software Defects to enhance or correct system deficiencies. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Collaborate with the project team to ensure the formal certification of best practices for Quality Assurance in the Product Development lifecycle. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Ensure established procedures, standards, and processes are consistently used throughout the QA testing lifecycle. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Test items produced by outside vendors or contractors against recognized industry standards. \n\t
\n

\n\n \nJob Qualifications: \n\n

\n\t
• \n\t In-depth knowledge of testing concepts, phases, and types of testing. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Experience executing User Stories at the required level of detail for each project/feature request. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Strong experience in managing, tracking, reporting, and resolving defects identified during the testing process. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Hands-on experience reviewing test documentation, verifying defects, and ensuring they are resolved. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively resolve discussions and issues. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Solid project management skills, including the ability to coordinate, negotiate, schedule, and communicate with staff at all levels. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Knowledge of industry standards, best practices of quality assurance, and terminology related to software QA. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle. \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t Ability to work with minimal supervision. \n\t
