Position: Part-Time Psychology TeacherSt. Catherine of Siena Academy is an all-girls Catholic high school in Wixom, Michigan. Our mission is to transform the culture by inspiring young women to discover and develop their feminine genius-their unique identity and gifts as women created in the image of God.St. Catherine of Siena Academy is seeking a dynamic and qualified Part-Time Psychology Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate is passionate about the field of psychology and excited to teach in a Catholic, faith-based environment that values the integration of faith and reason. This role includes teaching introductory and advanced-level psychology courses and contributing to a culture of intellectual curiosity and personal growth. This is a part-time position with potential for expanded responsibilities as the school and program continue to grow.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Education, or a related field Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements (CE) Demonstrated experience teaching psychology at the high school or college level A minimum of 3+ years of relevant teaching experience preferred Strong classroom management and instructional skills Committed to the mission and values of Catholic education Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skillsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Deep understanding of psychological concepts and their practical application Ability to design engaging lessons that integrate Catholic moral and ethical perspectives Familiarity with AP Psychology curriculum is a plus Willingness to collaborate in the development of the school's social science curriculum Demonstrates enthusiasm for student-centered learning and inquiry-based instruction Ability to use educational technology effectively in the classroom (e.g., Google Workspace, online learning platforms) Flexible, collaborative, and supportive of a dynamic high school environmentQualified individuals are encouraged to submit a cover letter and resume to Jennifer Starzacher, Business operations Manager , at [email protected].
