Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Sun River Health : Job Details

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide essential psychiatric clinical services for patients, ensuring high-quality care in accordance with organizational standards. Your role will include:

• Consulting with MDs, psychiatrists, and LCSWs to coordinate patient care through various communication methods including eCW and in-person encounters.
• Managing medication and providing clinical care for patients to support their treatment goals.
• Engaging in case conferencing and high-risk meetings with the clinical team.
• Approving treatment plans for behavioral health patients.
• Participating in primary care and behavioral health integration efforts.
• Facilitating appropriate care transitions with external providers.
• Providing crisis intervention as needed.
• Conducting psychiatric assessments, including interviews, diagnoses, and evaluations for referred patients.
• Documenting case records to monitor quality of care.
• Prescribing psychotropic medications and monitoring their effectiveness.
• Offering training to professional and paraprofessional staff.
• Staying informed on the principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
• Identifying and managing substance use disorders and making referrals when necessary.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's Degree and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, along with CPR/BLS certification. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
