Position Overview:

As a Part-Time Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in obtaining laboratory specimens from hospital, clinic, and nursing home patients. Your work will ensure quality results in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood and other specimens safely from patients.
• Document patient information meticulously.
• Utilize aseptic techniques during collection to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing information and answering questions regarding the phlebotomy process.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a medical setting is advantageous; knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology is a plus.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program and prior phlebotomy or laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
