Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing on a temporary basis. This is a part time role averaging 20-30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll operations, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, and provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries. Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Maintain and update payroll records and employee data in the payroll system.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and finance teams.
  • Handle payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate employee records.
  • Assist with audits by providing payroll information and documentation.
  • Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
