The Office Assistant supports the College's and the Advisement Office's mission by promoting student success. Part-time staff are authorized to work a maximum of 24 hours per week. Summary of Duties Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the first point of contact for students, screening and checking them in at the front desk. • Provide support to students while they register for classes • Respond promptly to student inquiries via phone, email, and text. • Participate in Advising Office events. • Maintain accurate records and input data into Ellucian Colleague and EAB Navigate360. • Collaborate with Federal Work Study staff and Peer Leaders to support office operations. • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet the office's goals. Qualifications Position Requirements: • High school diploma required; Associate degree or junior status preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering excellent customer service. • Experience working with culturally diverse student populations is highly desirable. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Ellucian Colleague, EAB Navigate360, or similar platforms. • Bilingual in Spanish or Arabic preferred. • Flexibility to work in-person at either the North Hudson or Journal Square campus; variable hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
