PUMPTEX, INC is seeking an Office Assistant who is ready to develop their business acumen with a locally-owned essential business. This is a part-time entry-level position with full-time potential; ideal for a senior BBA student seeking full-time after graduation. The primary function of the Office Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Accounting, Sales, and Service departments at the PumpTex Inc. headquarter office in Beaumont, TX, and to cross-train as needed for career advancement. Schedule: Non-Exempt, Part-Time, Monday through Friday, Flexible Scheduling (20-25 hours per week) ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Communicating with vendors, customers, and team members in a respectful manner
- Work with the team as needed by answering phones and responding to emails
- Filing, organizing, and maintaining a clean workspace
- Using office software like Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Data entry and verifying accuracy
- Scheduling appointments, meetings, and events as requested by the COO
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have customer service experience
- Must have experience with data entry, filing, and other areas of administrative functions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is preferred
- Organizational skills and effective time management
- Attention to detail
