About the Role: As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in planning, evaluating, and delivering healthcare to patients. Your focus will be on preventive health measures and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations, administer immunizations, and provide education and counseling.
• Order lab work, perform necessary lab tests, and draw blood when needed.
• Prescribe treatments for minor illnesses and consult with physicians regarding medications, chronic illnesses, and referrals.
• Maintain accurate and legible documentation, review patient records regularly, and follow up on abnormal lab results.
• Participate in case conferences and continuing education programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
• Identify patient needs across various age groups, ensuring appropriate care delivery.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and infection control guidelines to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications:

Education: Master's Degree in Nursing.

Experience: 5-8 years in healthcare; experience in a large medical practice is preferred.

Licensure: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State; CPR/BLS certification.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficient in diagnostic and treatment procedures relevant to nurse practitioners.
• Competent in delivering healthcare, focusing on prevention and education.
• Effective collaboration skills to maintain quality standards.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
