Part-Time Nurse Practitioner - Sun River Health : Job Details

Sun River Health is dedicated to providing exceptional primary, preventative, and behavioral health services to all individuals, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, focusing on the underserved and vulnerable communities. We are currently seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team at our Middletown, NY site.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in planning, evaluating, and delivering high-quality health care to our patients. Your primary focus will be on preventative health measures as well as patient education and counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, provide immunizations as necessary, and offer comprehensive patient education and counseling.
• Order and interpret appropriate lab work, draw blood for testing when needed, and perform specific lab tests such as microscopic exams.
• Prescribe treatments for minor illnesses and consult with physicians regarding medication management and referrals for chronic illnesses.
• Maintain accurate and legible medical documentation and regularly review patient records, ensuring appropriate follow-up on abnormal results.
• Participate in case conferences and continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Engage in provider meetings and active participation in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assess and address patients' age-specific health needs, including those of infants, adolescents, and geriatric patients.
• Adhere to OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines.
• Ensure safe and effective care delivery while meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner Program.
• A valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State and current CPR/BLS certification.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a large medical practice.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Compensation: Part-Time Hourly Rate: $74.46 - $78.07
