Job Description :

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an educational recruitment firm, is currently seeking an experienced Part Time Librarian & Educational Technology Specialist at an independent school in Chestnut Hill, MA.

This is a 40% part-time position for the 2025-2026 school year.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide guidance for students on library material, research databases, and technologies catered to support student's education.
  • Collaborate with faculty and provide support on expertise for educational technologies, artificial intelligence, and media research databases.
  • Evaluate and research new educational technologies to further support student learning.
  • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Library and Information Science required.
  • Deep understanding with emerging technologies, including AI, and skill in leveraging them responsibly to enhance instruction and student learning.
  • Previous experience with integration educational technologies into student curriculum.
  • Knowledge of library resources and educational technologies for students in grades 6-12.
  • Eager to work collaboratively with faculty members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. Work Authorization required.

Additional Desired Qualities:

  • Willingness to work with middle or upper school students.
  • Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
