Part Time Kennel Attendant - City of Lubbock TX : Job Details

Cares and attends to animals. Essential Functions Feed and water animals as needed;Clean and disinfect cages, pens, and yards and sterilizes equipment;Keep all work spaces tidy & free of debris; Help citizens with questions/concerns & adoption process;Examine animals for signs of illness and notate on vet list;Transfers animals between quarters;Record information according to instructions;Performs related duties as required. Qualifications Graduation from high school or equivalent with an additional one year experience attending animals or any combination of experience and education that provides the following:Valid Current Drivers License. Physical Exam Required Knowledge and Abilities Ability to:Work with animals;Deal effectively with the public;Handle unpredictable animals;Operate the following equipment: catch pole, hose, squeegee, mop, broom;Communicate effectively with others.
