Part-Time Forklift Operator - XPO : Job Details

What You Need to Succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic math skills, with or without a calculator
• Open availability for various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a dock or warehouse setting within the transportation industry
• Forklift operation experience, especially in freight or less-than-truckload (LTL) environments
• Proven ability in loading and unloading trailers
• Strong attention to detail with a drive for success

About the Role:

As a Forklift Operator, you will:

• Efficiently handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Utilize motorized and manual equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts
• Secure freight in trailers using the right tools and supplies
• Adhere to company safety policies, working in a safe and efficient manner
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift objects frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 70 lbs.
• Capable of standing, walking, reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling on a loading dock that may be slippery and is not climate-controlled

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay starts at $21.41/hour
• Competitive benefits options available for those working 30 hours or more per week
• This position is classified as Motor Carrier Act Exempt
