The S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is seeking an individual to teach a section of the masters course BDJ 664.3 TV & Digital News Reporting I. Class meets on Mondays 8:25 am-11:05 am; Live Lab meets Fridays 2:00 pm-6:00 pm; Package Day meets Thursdays 2:00 pm-6:00 pm during the Fall 2025 semester (4 credits). Course Description: This course teaches BDJ masters students how to produce broadcast news packages and also report those stories via social media and multimedia web stories. In addition, students take part in live TV reporting drills. Qualifications Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred. Job Specific Qualifications University level teaching experience is a plus. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in writing and reporting local TV news, both packaged and live.
