Part-Time Faculty- RED/ SPE 626/627 Early Intervention for Childrens Reading Problems (Fall 2025) is research based instruction for prevention and remediation of reading difficulties. The focus on preschool and early elementary children at risk for reading problems, as well as older elementary children labeled learning disabled, reading disabled, or dyslexic. Qualifications Doctorate or ABD in reading, literacy or a closely related field. Job Specific Qualifications Discipline-specific certification and extensive experience in the field highly preferred. College teaching preferred. Responsibilities Developing and/or updating a class syllabus. Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date. Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments. Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
