The School of Education at Syracuse University is looking for an individual to teach DAP 301 Foundations of Movement (3 credits) for the Spring 2026 semester. Course Description: Foundations of Movement covers Kinesiology and Somatics as they inform dance/movement technique. Emphasis will be placed on application of knowledge to personal practice and pedagogy/coaching. Qualifications Masters degree in dance, kinesiology or a related field. Experience/certification in somatic practice is essential. Job Specific Qualifications Teaching experience at the college/university level is very desirable. Responsibilities Develop/update the course syllabus in accordance with SOE standards. Ordering in advance books and materials for students in the class to purchase on or before the first day of classes. Preparing for classes. Holding office hours each week for students in the class and others. Grading in a timely manner student assignments and examinations for the course.
