Blue Hills Adult Education is seeking Part-Time Evening Remote ESOL Instructor to provide online instruction in alignment with our ESOL Curriculum and Massachusetts English Language Proficiency Standards (MA ELPS). JOB DESCRIPTION: •Deliver engaging online instruction and facilitate discussions using best practices for remote education. •Actively respond to student inquiries and comments in online forums. •Develop and submit weekly lesson plans based on the BHAE lesson plan template, reflecting unit instructional goals. •Employ instructional strategies that uphold high expectations, engage adult learners, and honor their diverse backgrounds and learning styles. •Utilize a mix of formal and informal assessment methods to gauge student learning and tailor instruction accordingly. •Attend monthly staff and common planning meetings to collaborate and share insights with colleagues. POSITION DETAILS: •Class Format: Online via Google Meet •Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM •Hours: 13 hours weekly (6 hours of instruction, 7 hours of preparation) •Begins September 1, 2025, and ends June 30, 2026 •Paid professional development •Current hourly rate: $37.47
