We especially focus on serving underserved and vulnerable communities. We are currently seeking a part-time Dentist to join our team at our Poughkeepsie - Washington Street site.

Role Overview:

As a Dentist at Sun River Health, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating dental diseases, injuries, and malformations. You'll be responsible for leading our dental team and ensuring that we provide top-notch care in compliance with our standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the dental team, ensuring effective communication and operations at the site.
• Perform root canal therapy on suitable teeth.
• Conduct full mouth periodontal exams for adults to diagnose periodontal disease and create treatment plans.
• Prepare impressions and models for dentures and crowns.
• Coordinate patient treatment plans with specialists across other services.
• Extract diseased or hopeless teeth.
• Provide preventive counseling on oral hygiene and general health.
• Identify and treat cavities while formulating comprehensive treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough examinations using diagnostic tools and maintain accurate clinical records.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education: Master's Degree

Licensure Requirements:

• D.D.S or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school.
• Active New York State Dental License.
• CPR/BLS Certification.

Specialized Skills:

Effective written and verbal communication in English is essential.

Compensation:

Part-time hourly rate ranges from $87.31 - $95.49.
