AllWays Health is currently seeking a Full- or Part-time Dentist to join our dedicated team in Atchison, KS. Job Summary: Provides comprehensive dental care focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dental diseases, injuries, and abnormalities. Delivers high-quality, patient-centered services to support overall oral health and wellness. Performs related duties as needed to ensure excellent care and clinical outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examines, diagnosis, treats and prescribes medications to patients of the Clinic
  • Ability to administer local anesthetic
  • Ability to administer nitrous oxide when indicated
  • Provides dental services including (when equipped);
  • Preventative dental services, i.e. prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, fluoride treatment, varnishes and/or sealants, radiographic procedures, educating patients
  • Operative dentistry, i.e. fillings and crowns
  • Pediatric dental services
  • Oral surgery, i.e. simple to moderately complex extractions
  • Endodontics on selected cases determined by professional judgement and if clinic becomes equipped to offer endodontic procedures
  • Emergency dental care
  • Referring any patients that present to the clinic with needed treatment that is outside the scope of individual general dentists' expertise.
  • Maintains dental records for each patient in accordance with the Clinic's policies and procedures.
  • Provides inpatient dental services within his/her scope of training and ability.
  • Review radiological and medical reports and incorporates findings into plan of care
  • Detection and diagnosis of dental diseases including but not limited to decay, periodontal disease, abscesses and broken/fractured teeth.
  • Manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs and oxygen supply and directory of emergency numbers.
  • Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
  • Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
