Part-Time Cashier and Stock Associate - ALDI : Job Details

Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.00 | Year 3 - $20.50 | Year 4 - $20.50 | Year 5 - $21.50

Duties and Responsibilities: - Collaborate with team members and communicate vital information to your leader. - Maintain the security and confidentiality of important documents and data. - Perform other duties as assigned.

Cashier Responsibilities: - Process customer purchases while ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment. - Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers throughout their experience. - Provide valuable feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, and operational issues. - Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels. - Follow cash handling procedures to minimize loss.

Stocker Responsibilities: - Stock shelves and ensure proper rotation of products for freshness. - Create visually appealing displays based on merchandising guidelines. - Organize new inventory and properly handle packaging materials. - Safely operate machinery as per safety protocols.

Physical Demands: - Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. - Stockers must be able to lift products weighing up to 45 pounds and stock them at various heights.

Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age or older. - Exceptional customer service skills. - Ability to maintain cleanliness to company standards. - Understanding of company policies and procedures. - Excellent verbal communication skills and effective time management. - Knowledge of company products and services.

Additional Qualifications: - Cashiers must accurately operate a cash register and comply with local regulations for selling alcoholic beverages. - Stockers should safely operate equipment, including hand jacks and floor scrubbers.

Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. - Previous retail experience is a plus. - A combination of relevant education and experience is acceptable.
