Part-Time Cashier and Stock Associate - ALDI : Job Details

Position Type: Part-Time

Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week

Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour

Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.00 | Year 3 - $20.50 | Year 4 - $20.50 | Year 5 - $21.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to your supervisor.
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents within your area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases and provide exceptional service.
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain neat merchandise displays.
• Provide feedback to management regarding products, inventory losses, and scanning errors.
• Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Follow merchandising planograms for attractive displays.
• Organize new inventory and efficiently remove empty boxes.
• Safely operate machinery in accordance with all safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
• Must lift products weighing up to 45 pounds and place them on shelving at various heights.

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties to company standards.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills.
• Knowledge of ALDI products and services.

Additional Requirements:

• Cashier: Proficient in operating a cash register.
• Stocker: Must have morning availability to support store operations, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
