The Part-Time Business Tutor provides tutoring services to Business students in the business areas with a heavy focus on Accounting, Business Statistics, and Economics.

This is a temporary grant funded position through September 30 year 2026 contingent upon grantor funding and grant extensions.

What you will be doing

•Tutors students in Business courses•Give orientation in the use of lab and use of software•Serves as a role model and motivates students to achieve and assists with their academic needs•Grades exams as needed•Assists with preparation of reports for faculty•Assists Lab Manager•Attends all tutor trainings•Performs other duties assigned

What you need to succeed

•High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and completion of one (1) specified college discipline course•All degrees must be from a regionally acccredited institution•Record of high achievement in courses taken and tutoring•No experience required; training provided as needed•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures•Ability to demonstrate genuine motivation in dealing with people•Working knowledge in the field of Business•Ability to communicate effectively both orally in writing with a diverse population•Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend assignments•Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
