This position reports to the Director of the Suffolk Community College Association, Inc., Kids Cottage Children's Learning Center. The responsibilities include the following:* Schedule appointments: compose routine correspondence, organize and maintain office supplies and files.* Receive visitors, answer, screen, and route telephone calls; furnish information regarding agency functions and activities to callers/visitors.* Operate the word processing program and children's learning program in order to maintain the center's records.* Prepare various statements and reports, maintain schedule and attendance records, CACFP records, medical records and daily maintenance of accounts receivable.* Collect tuition payments, prepare deposit reports, maintain current time analysis for each classroom.* Assist with the preparation of reports needed to meet licensing and governmental agencies.* Other related duties assigned by the Director.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Associate degree* Two years of work experience* Must be reliable and organized with good communication skills.* Work well independently and in a team* Basic math skills* Experience with office equipment such as fax machines, copiers and scanners* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software - Excel, PowerPoint and WordNON-DISCRIMINATION NOTICE: Suffolk County Community College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, familial status, pregnancy, predisposing genetic characteristics, equal pay compensation-sex, national origin, military or veteran status, domestic violence victim status, criminal conviction or disability in its admissions, programs and activities, or employment.
