Establish and maintain good customer relations with new and existing accounts. Evaluate trade relationships, provide courteous and professional customer service in a timely manner. This position may also be responsible for specific accounts and/or sales areas. Travel may be required. Also responsible for any other duties and tasks assigned to them by the CSM.
Responsibilities (include but not limited too)
- Process customer orders taken via phone, email or fax
- Educate customers with the information required to purchase from gpd.
- Exhaust all resources to achieve maximum fill rate upon initial shipment to customer.
- Provide gpd product or other alternatives to customers for back order and special-order parts.
- Market gpd in a positive manner.
- Provide services required to maintain current business levels.
- Keep a direct line of communication with Sales and Marketing Director, Outside Sales Personnel, and CSM regarding information that may damage or enhance current business relationships.
- Accountable for back orders and special orders and relaying out of stock information to purchasing department.
- As directed, canvas new business prospects by telephone, establishing point of contact and account opportunities.
Tasks:
- Convey special instructions on a per order basis to warehouse personnel.
- Attend all sales meetings.
- Keep current orders, back orders and purchase orders organized, including the paperwork generated.
- Recommend alternative parts when available.
- Flag lost sales. Review outstanding orders on a weekly basis. Review special order parts weekly.
