Position Summary

This position is responsible for the enforcement of parking regulations and operational policies in campus lots and structures.

Physical Demands

Work in adverse climates and interact pleasantly with disgruntled customers.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Operate fee computers and/or cash registers, validate parking fees, collect money and make change, reconcile money for daily deposit, prepare daily reports. (20%)
  • Issue citations, tow, or boot for parking violations. (20%)
  • Provide information to faculty/staff, employees, students, and visitors pertaining to parking issues and concerns as well as other campus-related issues. Direct traffic in and around parking areas to ensure safe and orderly ingress and egress. Provide reserved accommodations for special events, guests, and athletic events. (20%)
  • Perform periodic assistance in the cleaning of the parking deck and related equipment. Provide back-up and support for co-workers in the case of special events or employee absence. (20%)
  • Provide security when not operating the booth by patrolling all levels and areas of parking locations for unauthorized vehicles, litter patrol, suspicious persons, or illegal activities. (20%)
