**Position Summary** The parking lot attendant is responsible for the orderly and safe parking of customers at Hilltop Ski Area. Hilltop has multiple parking lots and maximizing the capacity of these lots on busy days will ensure we are utilizing our parking efficiently, while also ensuring roadways and turnarounds are open and free in case of emergency vehicles. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

* Assist guests and employees in parking uniformly and efficiently

* Assist in snow removal around lodge and walkways

* Alert to and aware of potentially dangerous situations on roads and walkways

* Communicate with supervisor and co-workers via radios

* Aware of all COVID safety and security procedures as related to self, guests, co-workers, and property

* Keep parking areas clean, neat, and free of trash and debris

* Assist guest with any problems with cars

* Answer guest questions with patience and pleasantness

* Must work well with all other departments. Must be respectful of all guests and employees.

* Performing other duties as directed

**Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)**

* Must be 16 years of age or older and have an approved work permit if under 18 years of age.

* Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, if over 18 years of age

* Must have reliable transportation

* Able to work up to 40 hours per week including holidays, weekends, and evenings, as necessary.

* Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.

* Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions

* Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

* Ability to lift heavy objects while raking, shoveling, and lifting large metal objects

* Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

* Strong communication skills and good judgement skills in dealing with guests.

* Ability to react quickly under pressure.

* Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

* Ability to understand, follow, transmit written and oral instructions.

* Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions.

* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
