Job DescriptionSUMMARY:The Parking Enforcement Officer routinely accesses the parking lots oncampus to enforce parking rules and regulations. This is mainly an outdoor position withadditional administrative duties at the Parking & Transportation office.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:Requires working outside in all weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Maintains composure under pressure
- Friendly and service-oriented
- Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Basic PC skills are required, with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Required to learn and operate the T2 parking system and operate a handheld citation unit
- Ability to recognize and report unsafe situations via a radio to the communications center
- Must have a valid driver's license and become an approved UR driver, required upon hire
- Must complete provided CPR training, required within 180 days
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- H.S. Diploma or GED required
- Experience in parking enforcement is preferred
WORK HOURS: Full-time with BenefitsWeekday schedule. 7.75 hours per day, 38.75 hours per week.Some weekends are required during sports events or other campus activities
SALARY STRUCTURE:Pay Grade 2 (Hiring Range $15.00 to $17.29 per hour)
