Operates moderately heavy equipment and performs maintenance of public parks. Exercises supervision over subordinate personnel Examples of Duties Examples of Work:UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION - Observes and checks operation of equipment for malfunctions. Services and maintains automatic and manual irrigation systems. Operates assigned equipment. Services or makes minor adjustments to equipment. Operates trucks for hauling and pulling equipment. Supervises laborers in moving, separating and loading materials. Makes minor adjustments on equipment. Performs maintenance on swimming pools, chlorinator, hydro chlorinator or comparable equipment. Performs general maintenance on golf courses, tennis courts and baseball diamonds. Uses sandblaster, jackhammer, jigsaws, hand and power tools in the maintenance and repair of park playgrounds and equipment. Performs daily maintenance on turf related equipment.
