Park Attendant - City of Suffolk Virginia : Job Details

Weekend work is required. Work location will be various City parks including trails. Under limited supervision, performs various tasks associated with maintaining park facilities and grounds for use by the public. Work involves cleaning and setting up park shelters/facilities, mowing and edging grass, cutting trees/branches, repairing/maintaining equipment, assisting customers, maintaining records of park attendance, and performing related tasks. Work is performed in accordance with detailed instructions and established routines; however, the employee is required to be alert to apparent irregularities in the data and to notify appropriate personnel of such irregularities. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the public, and employ initiative and independent judgment in completing assigned tasks. Reports to the Park Ranger Sergeant.
