(Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position. This position is responsible for discovery related to litigated claims matters. The Risk Litigation Paralegal partners with internal and external stakeholders to assist with discovery requests, production of documents, identifying corporate witnesses, and participating in deposition preparation sessions with witnesses. This position will develop and execute litigation discovery management strategies to reduce claims costs and increase resolution. The Litigation Paralegal will partner with our TPA and internal Liability Specialists to successfully provide a Best in Class claims experience. Primary responsibility is to support efforts for litigation resolution and cost mitigation strategies. This role will support the general liability claims program in the Risk department.
