Intellectual Property Paralegal 📍 Dallas, TX | 💼 Full-Time | 🏛 Corporate Law Firm

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team in Dallas. As the IP Paralegal, you'll play a vital role in supporting attorneys with U.S. and international patent, trademark, and copyright matters. From managing complex dockets to preparing filings and maintaining IP portfolios, your work will directly contribute to protecting clients' most valuable assets. This opportunity is full-time, direct hire, and fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file U.S. and international patent, trademark, and copyright applications
  • Draft and file documents with the USPTO, including provisional, utility, design, and PCT applications
  • Coordinate with foreign counsel on international filings and documentation
  • Manage IP docketing systems and track critical deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records for U.S. and foreign IP portfolios
  • Conduct preliminary trademark searches and assist with clearance reviews
  • Perform ownership, lien, and assignment searches for IP assets
  • Support IP-related litigation and enforcement activities
  • Draft and review legal correspondence, reports, and client communications
  • Assist with IP agreements such as NDAs, licensing, and assignments
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of IP paralegal experience in a law firm setting
  • Strongly preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Paralegal certificate or Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies
    • Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation
  • Proficiency with USPTO and international IP filing procedures
  • Experience with IP docketing software
