Paraeducator - ELL/Bilingual - Torrington Public School District : Job Details

Paraeducator - ELL/ Bilingual (Spanish) The ELL/ Bilingual Paraeducator will support students in grades K-3 by providing instructional assistance that promotes language development and academic success. This role includes working closely with classroom teachers and specialists to reinforce lessons, support small-group or one-on-one instruction, and adapt materials to meet the needs of English Language Learners. The paraeducator will help students build English proficiency while valuing and supporting their home language and culture. Additional responsibilities include monitoring student progress, assisting with classroom management, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages learning and growth for all students. Qualifications: Associate Degree and/or 60 college credits or successful passing of the Para-Pro Exam. Previous experience working in a school setting or with groups of children preferred.
