FACILITY

The Riceboro, GA Paper Mill, founded in 1966, specializes in Kraft linerboard, containing 25%-30% recycled fiber. Products include Mullen Kraft and High-performance Kraft linerboard.

Riceboro leads in sustainability with ISO 50001 certification and waste diversion from landfills. The mill aims for a 40% reduction in carbon emissions per ton by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Paper Machine Manager is responsible for:

• Supporting mill safety programs.
• Providing technical expertise in daily operations and assisting operators.
• Supporting process improvements and operational excellence.
• Converting business plans into daily operations plans.
• Analyzing production losses and coordinating maintenance and reliability issues.
• Planning outages with maintenance teams.
• Developing goals for productivity, quality, safety, and cost control.
• Maintaining harmonious relations and handling labor issues.
• Developing capital plans for long-term improvements.
• Providing leadership aligned with mill vision.
• Developing employee skills.
• Serving as contact for chemical trials and operating equipment.

REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

• Degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum ten years of experience in paper mill operations.
• Knowledge of process management, financial analysis, and planning is desirable.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Physical requirements include walking, climbing stairs and ladders.
