Painter B - Jamaica Hospital : Job Details

PAINTER PLANT OPERATIONS Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. Our Plant Operations Department offers comprehensive services including a full range of building trades services which are responsible for routine maintenance and minor/major space alterations, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance, locksmith, custodial, moving and setup services. We are currently seeking experienced Painter for immediate full time day shift opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for cleaning and preparing surface areas with appropriate medium to receive paint or wallpaper.
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs of interior and exterior painted surfaces.
• Measuring and mixing plaster to ensure surface areas.
• Mixing paints to create a variety of colors.
• Preparing and applying stains and finishes to woodwork.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies for painting and repairs.
