DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: Responsible for producing a high-quality powder paint finish on all products (Douglas and outside customers).ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Steward our mission (to enrich lives by providing differentiated packaging automation and services) and values (unwavering integrity, servant's heart, ownership spirit and continuous innovation and improvement).Follow proper safety procedures, be knowledgeable about related safety devices and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (P.P.E.).Maintain a clean and hazard free work area.Adhere to safety standards and company policies.Be able to wash product to acceptable standards prior to powder coating.Learn racking techniques to optimize part quality and quantity.Move racks using appropriate equipment and techniques.Be able to adjust powder gun to achieve maximum efficiency.Be able to clean powder booth and gun to acceptable standards.Be able to set oven control for different products.Be able to QC product to acceptable standards when unloading.Be able to unload racks and package product into appropriate boxes or pallets.Report quality changes to supervisor.Maintain accurate records and counts of customers' products.Assist supervisor with customer relations.Report process changes and equipment problems to supervisor with recommended solutions.Read paint specs to assure proper color of product.Read work orders of outside customers to assure proper color.Responsible for complying with all safety policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
