*Please note: resume is required for this position.Pay Rate: $21.00 an hourSign On Bonus: $2,000 hire on bonus is for new hires and rehires that are returning after 5 years or more. The bonus will be paid out in equal $333/$334 portions after successfully completing 3 months, 6 months and 9 months of employment with Treasure Island Resort & Casino.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMix paint, paint, prime, varnish, stain and sand all types of surfacesTape and mud sheetrockPerform prep work, patch, repair and order the correct quantity of materials for each jobMonitor inventory and inform supervisor when inventory levels reach reorder pointStore and clean all painting materials safelyMaintain records of paint colors, samples, charts, and the likeKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESRequired Knowledge and Certification:Proven knowledge of paint materials and application processes2 years training or apprenticeship in painting field1 year experience as a painter and sheetrock taperRequired Skills:Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesRequired Abilities:Ability to work fast and efficientlyAbility to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional mannerAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to maintain high confidentialityAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygienePHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hoursMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneelMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust be able to climb a ladderMust have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds regularlyMust have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate equipmentMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust be able to work at high elevations regularlyMust have good eye hand coordinationWORKING ENVIRONMENTWork is performed throughout the entire property (inside and outdoors) and may include excessive noise, such as power tools, dust and fumes from paints, varnishes, stains and the like, flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
