About the RoleJoin our growing manufacturing team as the Second-Shift Paint Department Supervisor, where you will own every aspect of our paint operations-from loading parts to final inspection. • Oversee All Paint Processes Ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Coordinate Daily Workflow Manage scheduling and sub-department activities so finished parts move to the next stage on time, every time.
• Lead, Mentor & Train Develop a high-performing paint crew through hands-on coaching, skills assessments, and cross-training.
• Analyze & Reduce Defects Conduct root-cause analyses on paint defects; launch corrective actions that raise first-pass yield.
• Partner with Engineering Collaborate on new finishes, appearance improvements, and troubleshooting to minimize rework and scrap.
• Champion Continuous Improvement Identify efficiency, uptime, and cost-reduction opportunities using Lean/6S methods; track KPIs for sustained gains.
• Uphold Environmental & Safety Standards Assist with regulatory compliance (hazardous waste) and cultivate a safety-first culture in the paint booth and prep areas.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in industrial or automotive painting environments
• Strong knowledge of paint chemistry, application methods, and curing processes
• Working understanding of Lean/6S or other continuous-improvement methodologies
• Ability to read technical drawings and paint specifications
• Solid troubleshooting skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish a plus)
• Ability to work a 6 PM-6 AM Tuesday through Thursday schedule plus 10 hours on Friday and occasional overtime/weekend coverage as needed
