Packer/QA Tech - Weekend Night - Utz Brands : Job Details

Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects. Inspects package weight. Verifies code, dates, and price. Examines package for proper seal. Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product. Packs product into cartons, cans and specialty containers and places them onto skids/conveyors. Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items). Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment. Assists as back-up Quality Assurance Technician as needed. Learn routine quality assurance testing; product sample collection; physical property testing; sensory evaluation; and various lab techniques to support and assist as needed. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
