Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the packaging of manufactured products. Packer responsibilities are in a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including, but not limited to; injection molding, IML, quality and assembly.
Job Accountabilities
As part of the you'll be responsible for...
Visually inspect, place into box (as necessary), and palletize finished goods to customer specifications
Tape and make boxes for workcenters, insuring to keep the proper quantity available at all times
Monitor quality (deviations, comparing comparators)
Document daily production values, including scrap quantities and reasons
Cleaning/housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning machines. Maintain assigned area in a fashion consistent with 5S principals
Stack cartons from 25 lbs on pallets
Notify shift leader and/or technical employees if a workcenter is experiencing consistent issues, or has stopped cycling
Participate in the training of new employees
Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
Report unsafe conditions and behaviors
Write in a way that balances clarity with inclusivity, avoiding overly restrictive language.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience with assembly, hand packing and visual inspections. Must be able to read, write and speak and
understand English. Basic math, computer, and organizational skills
Skills/Experience:
Must have excellent attendance. Reports each day, on time, ready to contribute.
Must be safety & quality conscious. Act in a consistently safe manner at all times
Be able to perform basic visual quality inspections on products
Production environment, with long periods of standing
Ability to repeatedly lift boxes ranging from 25-40lbs onto pallet manually
Personality/Attributes:
Effectively communicates with all co-workers, assists and coach others when able.
Effectively managing one's time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
Able to contribute and adapt when work assignments change
Must be responsible, self-motivated and function well in a team environment
Be open to a flexible work schedule and work overtime as needed
Must have good communication skills, both written and oral

Aditional Requirements:
This is a medium physical demand job
Employees must be able to work overtime, weekends and nights.
Frequently carry greater than 10 pounds up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift 50 pounds overhead with assistance.
Employees are required to stand / walk on concrete floors.
Employees are required to bend; turn / twist; kneel; squat; crawl; climb; reach out and up; turn wrist; grasp; pinch; and have finger manipulations.
12 hour shift.
