Immediate Hiring for Packer

Join our team at our supplemental Rock Island location, where we distribute and repackage parts for various types of agricultural equipment, including combines and tractors. We are seeking diligent individuals to assist with order processing and packaging. Responsibilities include sorting boxes and placing them on the correct pick pallet for forklift operators, engaging in picking and packing products, utilizing an RF scanner for inventory management, and loading and unloading semi-trailers with completed pallets. Essential skills include six months of warehouse experience, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a capability to work mandatory overtime. Additional skills and qualifications include experience with packing, production, and general warehouse tasks, as well as familiarity with RF scanners, material handling, and order picking.

Work environment: Work in a large parts distribution center with a diverse team working towards the common goal of quality. The open facility houses a variety of products and equipment, including forklifts. The environment is inclusive, with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Expect to be on your feet for most of the shift. The performance is measured by quality standards, ensuring high attention to detail is imperative to avoid errors in product shipment. The shifts include 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some mandatory overtime, and 2nd shift from 4 PM to 1 or 2 AM, depending on workload.

Job type & location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Rock Island, Illinois.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
