Packer - Aerotek : Job Details

Packer

Candidates will work as packers at the end of the production line, removing products, counting them according to the order sheet, and packing them into boxes for shipment to customers. Packers are expected to report to their supervisor at the beginning of each shift and will be assigned to a specific line for the day. They will undergo cross-training on different lines during their initial days.

Responsibilities

• Apply labels and stack and pack boxes.
• Deal with scrap parts and fill out work orders based on the day's run.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, though most products are very light, around 20 lbs.
• Proficiency in English to read and follow instructions.
• Counting skills and familiarity with injection molding and injection molding machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with extrusion or injection molding is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a cleanroom environment where safety glasses must be worn at all times on the floor. The facility is temperature-controlled, and all breaks are paid, including one 15-minute break and one 30-minute break. Available shifts include 1st shift from 7am-3pm, 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm, and 3rd shift from 11pm-7am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
