As a Sawmill Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various sawmill equipment, including saws, planers, and other machinery.

• Must be able to pack 35lb bags of pine shavings, label, and stack bags.
• Operate and maintain a variety of sawmill machinery, such as band saws, circular saws, and planers.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Identify and report any issues or malfunctions with the equipment.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets.

General machinist skills and experience Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Willingness to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment Previous experience in a sawmill or manufacturing setting is preferred

This is a temporary, full-time position in a noisy, industrial sawmill environment. You can expect to be on your feet for extended periods and may be exposed to dust, wood chips, and other debris. This is a 1st shift, Monday - Friday 7AM - 4PM role.
