Packaging (Swing Shift) - Alpha Baking Company : Job Details

Location: 4545 W. Lyndale Ave. Chicago, IL 60639Alpha Baking Company operates three (3) shifts around the clock 365 days per year. We cannot guarantee that any employee is permanently assigned to a particular shift or that any employee is guaranteed specific or the same days off each week. Additionally, this position requires work of a physical nature in a work environment that it subject to very hot and very cold conditions.Job Overview:The Packaging Department Worker is responsible for performing packaging and labeling duties in the bakery's packaging department. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment. The Packaging Department Worker will report to the Packaging Department Supervisor.Key Responsibilities:

• Package and label finished baked goods according to customer specifications and bakery standards.
• Operate packaging equipment, including baggers, sealers, and labeling machines.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet bakery standards.
• Monitor packaging equipment to ensure it is running efficiently and make adjustments as needed.
• Keep the packaging area clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Packaging Department Supervisor.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.
• Ability to work on all three shifts and work overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
