(CSE: JUSH, OTCQX: JUSHF), we are shaping the future of the cannabis industry, the fastest growing jobs sector in the U.S. The Secondary Packaging Manager will be responsible for ensuring that their facility and department's employees comply with local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures. This role oversees all activities related to the post-harvest production of cannabis flower through primary packaging, as well as secondary packaging for both cannabis and infused products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Exercise authority and direction concerning operational issues and budget decisions; participate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, department policies, and procedures
  • Documentation and continued development of internal processes
  • Continuous improvement in efficiencies, processes, and procedures for DTC
  • Manage and coordinate Processing Primary Packaging operations at the facility including daily activities, supply requests, equipment requirements, training/development, schedules, personnel, and quality assurance
  • Inventory oversight, management, and organization
  • Ensure product quality is maintained during processing, curing, and packaging
  • Oversee tracking logs of all harvested, processed, and packaged products
  • Manage and utilize processing and packaging labor force to meet production goals and quality standards
  • Assist in training, maintaining, and overseeing quality standards, products, and procedures by staff; help meet departmental goals
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met or exceeded through operational and physical support at the facility
  • Innovate and evolve departmental policies and procedures; recommend and implement new concepts to streamline productivity and reduce costs
  • Develop, implement, and manage production forecasting and scheduling tools
  • Update financial, administrative, and production trackers daily with department data
  • Create and manage distribution wholesale documents and packages required by regulatory bodies
  • Oversee all automated seed-to-sale biomass and finished good transactions, transfers, and inventory adjustments
  • Develop and manage department performance indicators and KPIs; provide data inputs to management
  • Review new processes and product flow, maintaining quality oversight
  • Create detailed reports and analyses of all packaging activities, reporting as required
  • Foster a proactive, positive environment where employees are challenged to meet and exceed goals
  • Possess experience in all areas of cannabis processing, including curing, trimming, and packaging
  • Analyze problems, identify solutions, project consequences, and implement recommendations
  • Research and adapt to new methods, compliance updates, and operational techniques
  • Understand applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the industry, personnel, safety, and organizational policies
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and government agencies
  • Oversee primary processing of flower SKUs
  • Assist with post-harvest, curing, trimming, and sorting functions; oversee administrative and compliance aspects
  • Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with reporting, analytics, and forecasting
  • Solution-oriented with proactive process improvement skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills within teams and cross-functional partners
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business, or relevant cannabis industry experience
  • 3-5 years relevant technical experience in a consumer packaging environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work is indoors; ability to work in hot or cold environments with exposure to dust, allergens, and water; PPE provided
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting in tight areas as needed
